It’s Tuesday, and today marks the middle of the Elkhart County 4-H Fair for this year. It’s going to be another fair weather day, and it’s the second Senior Citizens’ Day at the fair, with seniors (62 and older) admitted free until 3 p.m.
The National Weather Service predicts a high around 87 degrees, with plenty of sun and a light breeze.
Anyone on the fairgrounds this morning who wants something completely different, stop by the 4-H poultry barn at 10 a.m. for the rooster crowing competition and then the poultry imitation contest, which is always good for a few laughs.
Midway rides will be open from 3 p.m. until 11 p.m.
After a great concert by Trace Adkins Monday evening — and his great visit around the fairgrounds, including a crew shooting scenes for one of his music videos — the concert series continues this evening with another big name in country music today, Chris Janson of “Buy Me A Boat” fame. He’ll take the stage after Jameson Rodgers opens for him at 8 p.m. Reserved track seats are still available, and as always, grandstand seating is free on a first-come, first-served basis.
