According to Rich Utley, president-elect of the fair board, “The decision to go with free track seating was made to enhance the ‘free’ experience for our Sunday guests.
“Families are a large part of Sunday attendance. This change for 2014 will encourage more families to attend the concert and have fun together,” Utley said.
There’s no cost for gate admission to the fair Sunday, July 20, and with all track and grandstand seats being free, that increases the options for people to enjoy free entertainment at the fair.
“The fair board works very hard to bring the best available entertainment to the fair in July each year,” said Tim Yoder, this year’s fair board president. “Keeping the track seating cost as the best value in the area is extremely important to the fair, We want to offer 2014 Sunday concert as track seating for free and are hopeful the community will come see a very popular Christian singer as our guests.”
The reserved track seats for other main-stage shows in the 2014 concert series aren’t exactly high priced, with the track seats going for $30 for those shows. For all shows, grandstand seats are free on a first-come, first-served basis.
Those shows include:
• 3 Doors Down, Saturday, July 19.
• Tyler Farr with special guest Parmalee, Monday, July 21.
• Danielle Bradbery with special guests The Swon Brothers, Tuesday, July 22.
• Justin Moore with special guest Joey Hyde, Wednesday, July 23.
Tickets for those shows go on sale May 31 online, at the fair office or by telephone.
