Did You Drop Something At The Fair?

lostfound2 lostfound1 lostfound3 lostfound4If you got home from the 2014 Elkhart County 4-H Fair and wondered where your umbrella — or stroller, or Blackberry, or shaving kit, or basketball — went, you might be in luck.

The fair office will hold onto the unclaimed items for 30 days, so you have time to come back out to the office. Parking isn’t as tight now that the fair’s over, so you can enter at Gate 2 (under the new sign) and park close to the office to come find your stuff.

There are lots of sunglasses and sweatshirts, a few small coolers, some keys and some cellular telephones.

Anything unclaimed after 30 days will be donated to charities or thrown away (things like lone shoes or sippy cups). Eyeglasses typically go to the Lions Club, while cellular telephones are typically donated either to a women’s shelter or to an organization providing phones for soldiers.

In the meantime, check through the pictures and see if you recognize anything.

Laura, when all was said and done, it didn’t turn up in the fair office.
