Bengal Tiger Encounter will teach and entertain

Along with checking out the wide variety of animals at the Elkhart County 4-H Fair, be sure to check out the Bengal Tiger Encounter.

DSC01813 DSC01814You’ll meet tigers Daruba, Tiana, Sarah, Kyla and newborn cub, Aslan.

You’ll not only see the four adult tigers do a variety of tricks, but you’ll learn a lot about these large and majestic felines, like how much they eat, what their stripes and colors mean, and about how few tigers there are left in the wild.

Bengal Tiger Encounter will be Friday and Saturday, July 18 and 19, at 1 p.m., 4 p.m. and 6 p.m., and the rest of the fair, from July 20 through 26, at 3 p.m., 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. at the Family Entertainment Center at the corner of Dahlia Lane and Oak Street at the fair.

  1. The tiger show is amazing & very educational. Highly recommended to anyone who loves big cats.

  2. Thank goodness for people who dedicate their lives and take all the responsibility for raising and caring for these animals so they can take them to the people. Without their devotion, passion, knowledge and sacrifices we would miss our chance to know and care about the wonders of the animal world. Thank you.

  3. Thank you for allowing such a beautiful exhibit to be included in your fair. Felicia is an asset to the exotic animal business and not only showcases her animals’ natural behavior but she educates her audiences about their plight in the wild too. Without shows such as this most children wouldn’t be aware of tigers and what steps we must take to protect them for future generations.

  4. I thinks it’s GREAT! Ms. Frisco and her cats are amazing to watch, Ms. Frisco is also extremely knowlegable in every aspect regarding these animals, and is always eager to share that knowledge with hopes to inform and educate the general public to dispel a lot of the false, negative propaganda being shoveled out by groups such as PETA, HSUS,ALDF and Carole Lewis Baskin of Big Cat Rescue to name a few.

  5. This show is so important for the tigers, They serve as ambassadors for their species, which are extremely endangered. These tigers make the public aware of ANIMAL CONSERVATION and how important it is! The fact that this woman can get into a cage of tigers and work alongside them to educate in a way that makes an impression on the people who watch her show is an extreme delicacy, and it is important to have this kind of experience. How are people going to care about animal conservation unless they see what the tigers can do? Make sure you stop by and see this show! At the end of the day education, dedication and great animal care is all that matters. And this show goes above and beyond to show that.
