4-H Princess Party: Young girls can enjoy an afternoon to “Dare to Dream”

It’s the ultimate interactive program for young Elkhart County 4-H Fair fans — an afternoon to “Dare to Dream.”

Audience members are encouraged to plan to engage a stage full of young royalty at a Princess Party in the Park, which is set for 2 p.m. Saturday, July 22 at Heritage Park stage. The “Dare to Dream” theme is offering the opportunity for girls to come dressed as their favorite storybook princess.

The show stars Cinderella, Princess Beauty, Mermaid Princess and Sleeping Princess, who will share songs and princess etiquette to the audience members as well as lead the crowd in a “royal dance.” The younger 4-H princess fans can also participate in a “princess pledge.” The approximately one-hour program will be followed by a meet-and-greet session, including photo opportunities, with the stage show princess characters from 3-4 p.m.

Children who attend in costume will also be allowed to ride midway rides with purchased ride tickets in their “princess” attire.

The program is free for children age 9-and-under.

For fans who cannot make the Princess Party in the Park, other princess meet-and-greet sessions are scheduled for:

Friday, July 21 — 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Saturday, July 22 — 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Sunday, July 23 — 2 p.m., 4 p.m., and 6 p.m.

General admission to the Elkhart County 4-H Fair, which runs July 21-29, is $8 person. Visit 4HFair.org for more Fair information.

  1. Meeting the princess was wonderful!! We went Friday night and even in the heat we had an amazing time! My daughter was literally speechless to me them. The best part was how amazing the princesses were! They took the time with each kid to talk with them and give them hugs and take pictures. I was very impressed and hope this is something you continue to promote for these wonderful people. We will definitely look into having them for a birthday party in the future!
