4-H “Hysteria:” 3-on-3 basketball tournaments continue to fill up the courts

You got game? Can you still hoop it up?

If so, then welcome to the summer version of “Hoosier Hysteria” — the annual 3-on-3 basketball tournaments at the Elkhart County 4-H Fair.

Filled with athletes age 10-30, many of which travel from outside the county to participate, the 3-on-3 event has become one of the top sporting events each year at the fairgrounds. Fans can gather to watch up-and-coming young teens, top area high school athletes plus college-age and young adult standouts who can still fill up the buckets.

Girl and boy teams are invited to play. Registration must be done at http://4hfair.org/fe/competitions-activities/3on3/

The first 110 teams registered will compete and each team must pay $44 to enter. Divisions for girls and boys include age 10-12 and age 13-15. There’s also 16-18 and 19-a30 for men as well as age 16-and-over for women. All teams, which may include four players, must be registered by noon on Saturday, July 22.

Four fun nights of action conclude with the championship games Thursday, July 27 beginning at 6 p.m. Following the age-group finals, the lively slam-dunk and 3-point shooting competition will be staged.

Fair Admission Tickets need to be purchased by all first-round competitors. Advance tickets are available until the week before the Fair at a discounted price. Complimentary tickets are given to second-round competitors.
